Dictaphone

Formed in the late 90s, Dictaphone consists of Brussels-bred multi-instrumentalist Oliver Doerell and clarinet-/saxophone player Roger Döring. The band creates a kind of slow motion jazz and melancholic cinematic landscapes. Oliver Doerell and Roger Dˆring don't create just music, but a storybook of emotions and characters that can be accessed just by pressing play on the CD player. Each track is a different person, a different canvas, a different case to be solved. Oliver Doerell and Roger Döring have composed numerous scores for theatre plays and films. Oliver Doerell also teamed up with Raz Ohara to form "The Odd Orchestra" and released an album on the Berlin-based "Get Physical" imprint.
